The Tonneau is one of the most underrated models from Cartier in our opinion. Sometimes it’s good to have a look back at certain models that definitely opened the doors for the more common models nowadays.
The Tonneau was introduced in 1906, just two years after the first men’s wristwatch, the Cartier Santos. We want to remind you that it was not only creative but innovative to create a watch like the Tonneau back in those days. The curved shape together elongated roman numerals are a beautiful combination and a perfect example of why Cartier has distinguished itself. The name ‘Tonneau’ comes from the barrel reference Cartier used for their design, which means Tonneau in French.
It’s a pleasure to offer you this Cartier Tonneau ‘CPCP’ 2451D. The ‘CPCP’ watches are something else as you can see. The perfect Guilloché dial is one of our favorite features from the CPCP models, but there is one other feature on this particular piece we truly admire. The blued Breguet hands, which is a true hommage to the older Cartier hands. It’s not only rare to see Breguet hands, but it is also complimenting the overall design aesthetics.
The watch is fully serviced, and comes with a two-year warranty!
