The First.

It’s always a pleasure to offer a well-preserved Daytona, but the 16520 is maybe our favorite model to offer. The 16520 ‘Zenith’ is a historical model due to the movement transition Rolex made. Rolex introduced the 165xx series in 1988, and worked together with Zenith to achieve something they weren’t able to do by themselves. The 165xx series are the first Automatic Chronographs Rolex ever produced and is thereby very popular with collectors.

After the prices of the four-digit variants exploded over the past few years, this neo vintage 16520 is the next best thing. With its creamy colored sub dials, this watch has patinaed to something truly unique. The patina happened because of a faulty lacquer that proved to be too weak to withstand UV light. A mistake Rolex would still love to correct to this day even though they know the value of the watch will drop. This is because of their policy that all Rolex watches need to be to a certain standard both mechanically and physically.

Not only is this 16520 in amazing condition it also comes as a full-set, and is ready to be loved.
