Whenever something NOS crosses our path, we always wonder how one buys a very expensive watch and then decides not to wear it. Especially watches that were bought in a time where it wasn’t nearly as popular as now. When they were bought for functionality and not as investments.

The 16610LV is special enough on its own besides it being NOS. this was the 50th anniversary submariner and came with a Rolex green bezel inlay. It was presented in 2003 and produced until 2010. It was also a first time for some new features. It was the very first reference to feature the maxi plots and maxi hands.

In the period of 7 years, some very slight alterations have been made that for many would not be noticeable at first glance. However, it does create quite a difference in rarity and thus value. There was a total of 5 different dials, 5 different bezels and 2 different cases. One with engraving in the rehaut and one without.

Our V serial from 2009 is equipped with a mark 5 dial, B4 inlay and has its rehaut engraved. This all matches perfectly with what is standard for this period of time, confirming its originality. As we stated before, it is new old stock so it finds itself in full stickers on both case and bracelet. Something that, because of current policy, has become impossible to find.
