‌When this beauty came in, everyone stopped what they were doing and quickly came to look at this truly unique watch. There is something to this watch that just draws you to it.

‌The 116506 was released in 2013 for the 50th anniversary of the Rolex Daytona and it caused quite the stir. It was the first Daytona featuring the ceramic bezel and Just like the 16610LV’s green bezel, many people didn’t understand the need for something so ‘extra’. Why platinum and why the contrasting ice blue dial against the chestnut brown bezel and sub dials. It was unnecessarily heavy and it stood out too much. It was the 1960’s all over again where the Daytona wasn’t received well and was sold at discounts. Believe it or not, but the previous owner actually got a discount on it of 25%. Can you imagine?

‌We think it might be one of the best-looking Daytona’s ever made. We like that it stands out and that there is weight to it. We love the fact it has got the subtle diamond hour markers that look more like stick markers but once you take a closer look reflect the light like no other. The diamonds work even better because of the dial color making it truly ice like. It also was the first Daytona ever to be crafted in platinum which makes it even more collectible.
