The Rolex reference 16660, also known as the “Triple Six,” is a legendary timepiece that holds a special place in the hearts of Rolex aficionados and collectors. Produced from the late 1970s to the late 1980s, the Rolex 16660 is in our opinion a beautiful model within the Submariner lineup, marking an important evolution in the iconic dive watch series.

The 16660 haves some key improvements when you compare it with its predecessor the 1665; including the sapphire Crystal, new movement and an improved helium escape valve (HEV). The HEV allowed for the safe release of built-up helium gas during saturation diving, a feature particularly valued by professional divers.
