Defined by Stories
Unique is the best way we can describe this beauty. Not one watch faded the same and the way this one did is special on its own.
The watch is beautifully faded and filled with stories. The condition is amazing, and another remarkable aspect of this timepiece is its inclusion of the original box and papers, which not only authenticate its provenance but also offer a glimpse into its storied past.
They bear the name of the watch’s first owner: Eduardo Simon Bernheim, a distinguished figure hailing from France. Bernheim’s life unfolded as a narrative of resilience and adventure, transitioning from a French war veteran to an intrepid explorer, aviator, and agronomist.
Post-World War II, Bernheim embarked on a journey that led him to the picturesque landscapes of Chile. Nestled by the tranquil shores of Lago Verde, or the “green lake,” he established a farm that became a cornerstone of the local community, providing livelihoods for numerous families across generations. Additionally, Bernheim’s contributions extended beyond agriculture; he played a pioneering role in aviation within the region, delivering essential humanitarian aid to those in need.
In recognition of his altruistic endeavors, Don Eduardo was bestowed with Chilean nationality by the Senate of the Republic of Chile in 2011, a testament to his enduring legacy of service and dedication to others.
We were all amazed by the history behind the piece, and it’s a true pleasure to offer a timepiece like this!
