ARE YOU READY TO RUMBLE

We are very fortunate to work with our passion, and it’s always a pleasure to sell a watch. Especially when it’s a special one like this iconic Submariner 5513.

The Submariner 5513 is first introduced in 1962 and is a perfect example of why we love vintage watches. There has been so many design and detail changes in the 5513 which makes it one of the most interesting models from Rolex ever.

Before we go in-depth about the special features from this watch we want to share you something thats maybe even more special. The provenance.

This particular watch was owned by the boxing legend Bep van Klaveren. Van Klaveren became champion in the featherweight class during the 1928 Olympic Games in Amsterdam. In 1931 he became European Lightweight Champion, and in 1938 European Middleweight Champion.

This 5513 is by far one of our favourite watches we ever offered. This 5513 is from 1967 and features one of the best dials in our opinion. A ‘Matte Meters First’ dial with beautifully aged lume plots. Finding a well-preserved meters first 5513 is difficult, but finding one together with a cool provenance is something else.

This piece is for someone who is just as interested in acquiring the best condition as collecting a piece with history. The watch is fully serviced by our watchmakers, and comes with a two-year warranty.
